The City of Alameda held an event at the pavilion in Jean Sweeney Open Space Park on Thursday, July 18, to announce the winners of awards from the July 4th Parade. Parade participants were considered in seven different categories. Mayor Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft presented the awards with the assistance of parade organizer Patrick Russi, Recreation Manager of Alameda Recreation and Parks Department. A total of 19 entries were recognized from a field of nearly 160 entries.
