The West Alameda Business Association is excited to share that we are working with the City of Alameda to help develop Visit Alameda — a new citywide destination and discovery platform designed to make it easier for residents and visitors alike to discover everything our island has to offer.

Alameda is full of incredible neighborhoods, businesses, events, waterfront experiences, parks, restaurants, music, history, hidden gems, and local traditions.
The challenge?
Right now, many of those stories and experiences live in different places, making it harder for people to discover everything Alameda has to offer.
Visit Alameda aims to change that by creating one place where people can explore neighborhoods, discover experiences, support local businesses, and connect more deeply with Alameda.
We cannot build this without you.
We’re looking for your ideas, your stories, your routes, your favorite experiences, and the things you tell visitors they absolutely shouldn’t miss.
Help us answer questions like:
- Where should someone go for the perfect burger crawl?
- What’s the ultimate dog-friendly Alameda day?
- What’s the best bike route after taking the ferry?
- Where are the hidden gems locals love?
- What’s the perfect waterfront afternoon?
- What makes your neighborhood special?
- What would you tell someone visiting Alameda for the first time?
- What experiences would make someone stay longer, explore more, or come back again?
Examples might include:
- Dog-friendly adventures.
- Bike rides and walking tours.
- Vintage and thrift trails.
- Live music nights.
- Family-friendly activities.
- Date nights.
- Food trails.
- Historic experiences.
- Seasonal traditions.
- Arts and cultural experiences.
- Favorite local rituals and traditions.
Big ideas. Small ideas. Weird ideas. Local favorites.
We want all of it.
Because the best version of Alameda has never been built by one organization alone. It’s built by all of us.
Please share your ideas, stories, routes, photos, favorite businesses, traditions, and experiences using our online form.
Questions? Please email [email protected].
We can’t wait to see what you share—and to build something together that helps more people discover, experience, and fall in love with Alameda.
Elissa Glickman is the Executive Director of the West Alameda Business Association.
