The big day has finally arrived, and I am just putting the finishing touches on my costume. This Shepherd will be out and about dressed as Shepherd’s Pie. This tasty treat has carrots, onions, garlic, peas, tomatoes, and of course me. I consulted with Chef John Thiel of Pizzeria Pappo, who graciously allowed me to use his place. Please be sure to try out this great dining establishment on Santa Clara Avenue near Webster Street. There is a nice parklet so even I can enjoy the great food.
This SPECIAL REPORT only covers a few of the many great yard scenes I covered this week, and you can read about the other yards I visited in my regular Sunday report.
For today, please enjoy the three videos covering 1301 Sherman Street, 1325 Dayton Avenue, and one containing all the scenes from some of the many yards that I visited.
I did want to highlight a few individual scenes that I thought were out of the ordinary including the flying witch on the broom, the giant hand holding down the skeleton, a scary skeleton in the garage, a set of mysterious eyeballs, and the Kittens of the Catibbean yard.
In keeping with a more modest, but nonetheless important expression of the season, I thought this “Broom Parking” door hanger was cute, and “All Others Will Be Toad” to be so clever.
