San Francisco Bay Ferry announced this week that free coffee is now available for passengers on all weekday morning commute trips. As a part of the promotion, ferry riders may help raise funds for local food banks by participating in the SF Bay Ferry system’s Pay It Forward campaign.
The campaign is a virtual food drive. Morning commute ferry riders are invited to enjoy free coffee and may choose to pay it forward by making a donation to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano or the Alameda County Community Food Bank. Donations are completely optional, and every dollar provides two meals.
Passengers can support the campaign through QR codes found near the coffee stations on the ferries or via the links shown above. The free coffee on weekday mornings is provided in partnership with S&P Concessions, the ferry system’s concessionaire, and Blue & Gold Fleet, the contracted operator for the service.
In addition to free morning coffee, SF Bay Ferry has upgraded its complimentary Wi-Fi onboard the fleet, allowing commuters to stay connected during their ride across the Bay.
