The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is opening a housing waitlist for the newly-built Linnet Corner, an affordable housing community for seniors, age 62 and older. (Please note: This is separate from the housing being offered to unhoused disabled senior veterans.)

Applicants will be selected by a lottery to be placed on a waitlist. The waitlist application period will start on Friday, April 4, at 11a.m. and will close on Friday, April 18, at 11a.m. Preference is given to those who live or work in the City of Alameda.
The lottery will be held via the Alameda County Housing Portal. For a link to the application, visit the Linnet Corner website on April 4. To be notified via email when the application is available, complete this form online and check “Linnet Corner.”
This opportunity is for individuals age 62 and older (who meet income requirements) to live in a studio apartment within the City of Alameda. The information in the chart below is estimated and subject to change.

Linnet Corner offers 400-square-foot studio apartments with individual bathrooms and kitchens. The apartments are suitable for one- to two-person households.
The property has an elevator and all units are adaptable. Resident services are available onsite, and a free transit pass will be provided to each head of household. The only utility that tenants are responsible to pay for is electricity. Other utilities (water, sewer, trash) are provided. A $500 security deposit is required at move-in.
Linnet Corner is within close walking distance to public transit, grocery stores, and other shopping outlets, parks, local employers, and schools. Limited parking is available onsite. The building is non-smoking. Pets are allowed but must be pre-approved.
Expected move-in date is September 2025. Please do not visit the property site as it is currently under construction.
