Tristan rides his bike in the annual Iron Boy event in Lake Placid, New York. Due to mechanical difficulties, he cannot shift gears, but perseveres, nonetheless.
The center of his pedal is 9 inches from the axis of rotation of the front sprocket. The radius of the front sprocket is 5 inches. The radius of the rear sprocket is 3 inches. The radius of the rear tire is 12 inches.
Tristan is pedaling furiously at 40 RPM and mostly keeping up with the pack.
