San Francisco Bay Ferry has announced that its fares will increase for all SF Bay Ferry routes effective July 1. The ferry system will continue to offer 50% discounts for youth, senior, disabled, and Clipper START passengers on regular service. Current fares will remain in effect through June 30.

Since 2023, San Francisco Bay Ferry has implemented small annual fare increases (10 cents in most cases) to keep ferries an affordable option when crossing the Bay. Changes in inflation, regional fare policy, and fare actions by other transit operators have affected how SF Bay Ferry fares compare to fares for other regional transit services, according to an announcement from the ferry system.
To address these changes, maintain alignment with regional transit options, and ensure the ferry continues to be an affordable transit option, SF Bay Ferry will institute new fares for all routes, starting July 1, 2026.
