The Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle, commonly known as “Woodstock,” will switch to a new winter schedule starting Tuesday, November 4. Tuesday service, which started in July, was very popular, so the shuttle will continue to operate six days a week, Tuesday through Sundays.

Hours of service will be shortened on weekends to reflect seasonal changes in weather and daylight. The new schedule (see chart) will be in place through early March 2026, when expanded weekend hours are expected to be launched.
Schedule change highlights:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday service will remain the same.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday service will run between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
The popular shuttle service, operated by SF Bay Ferry, thanks riders for their patience as it continues to modify and test out different schedules.
“As a pilot service, we are learning more and more each month about the vessel operations, ridership and cost of operations,” a notice issued by the City of Alameda stated. “With each schedule change, we are trying to refine the service to maximize the number of departures, ridership and convenience in balance with the available budget. We appreciate the rider feedback we have received over the past 15 months and look forward to hearing what you think of this new schedule.”
