AFD Responds to Apartment Building Fire Near South Shore

On Monday night, March 3, Alameda Fire Department (AFD) responded to a structure fire after smoke was reported at a three-story apartment building on the corner of Park Street and Otis Drive, near South Shore Center.

AFD posted a video on social media shortly before 7:50 p.m.

The fire was out by 8 p.m., and no injuries were reported, according to KRON news. AFD also stated that no residents were displaced as a result of the fire.

As of 8 p.m., crews were working to determine the origin of the fire. At that time, the public was asked to temporarily avoid the area.
