Zeus is Well-Behaved and Confident

Pet of the Week for March 21, 2026

When Zeus first came to FAAS, he made one thing very clear: He is handsome and he absolutely knows it. Zeus is easily the kind of pup to turn heads when he’s out on a walk—and he’ll walk on by as if he is totally unbothered by the attention he’s receiving. It’s simply who he is.

Zeus is 5 years old, well behaved at home, extremely easy on a leash, and a super-quick learner. He knows his manners when he’s in a home, and will easily sit and wait for his food for dinner. He’s food-motivated, and usually carries himself very highly—confidence is not an issue with this pup. When he’s off the leash and at home, he’s cuddly and demands belly rubs from his favorite people.

Zeus is a great pup, but he truly struggles in a shelter setting. His stress heightens very quickly, and he’s always asking, “How am I here?” If you’re interested in fostering him, you will fall in love so quickly. He is our most in-need pup for fostering—he misses being in a home more than anything. Please consider giving him a space to relax!

You can meet Zeus in person at FAAS, 1590 Fortmann Avenue. Just call 510-337-8565 or come by during our open hours—Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed daily for lunch, 1 to 2 p.m.) The last viewing is one hour before closing.
