Windermere Foundation Donates $10k to Seven Alameda Nonprofits

The Windermere Foundation, alongside the REALTORS® from Windermere Bay Area Properties’ Alameda office, is donating $10,176 across seven local non-profits. “This broad approach allows Windermere Bay Area Properties to make a meaningful impact across multiple sectors in the community,” says Shannon Reese of Windermere Bay Area Properties of Alameda. This year’s recipients include Rhythmix Cultural Works, Girls Inc. of the Island City, Alameda Food Bank, Alameda Education Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Mastick Senior Center, and Alameda Welfare Council. These non-profits were selected because they each provide essential services that support diverse local needs.

In their newsletter, Alameda Education Foundation wrote that they are “very grateful to be a part of a group of Alameda non-profits who received a generous donation from Windermere Foundation… Thank you Windermere for your support of Alameda students and teachers!”

Reese responded: “Windermere Bay Area Properties is grateful to be connected with such dedicated leaders in the Alameda community. It’s a privilege to work alongside each of you to make a positive impact here.”



Catherine Bierwith, Foundation Representative, shared, “Each agent in our office champions a non-profit they feel strongly connected to. Partnering with these local groups allows us to make a real impact right here in Alameda.”

Chris Curtis, Broker/Owner, highlighted how the Windermere Foundation’s mission reflects a core value of Windermere Bay Area Properties. “Our Foundation’s agent-driven model has raised over $53 million since 1989 through client closings, with 97% of funds going directly to local needs,” he said. “We’re proud to support vital causes like the arts, youth education, seniors, housing, and food insecurity, embodying our commitment to uplifting our community through a shared dedication to service.”

Through partnerships like these, Windermere Bay Area Properties of Alameda continues to leverage its resources and expertise to create positive change and foster a thriving, inclusive community for all, noted Reese.
