Some Stars Are Born. Others Like Sinatra Are Waiting at the Shelter, Hoping for an Encore.

Pet of the Week for July 4, 2026

Meet Sinatra, a handsome 6-year-old Husky with a voice all his own and a pair of unforgettable eyes—one warm brown, one brilliant blue. Like his legendary namesake, Sinatra has undeniable charisma. But instead of stealing the spotlight, he’d much rather steal your heart… and maybe a few treats along the way.

Sinatra is a very good boy with excellent manners. Photos courtesy of FAAS.

This sweet boy is all about people. Meeting new friends is one of his favorite pastimes, especially if they arrive with snacks in their pockets. Food motivated and eager to learn, Sinatra already knows a few commands and enjoys working alongside his person. He will make a wonderful companion for anyone who enjoys building a bond through positive reinforcement.

He’s easy to harness, walks politely, and is more interested in sharing the journey with his human than worrying about everyone else. While busy streets and large trucks can make him a little cautious, he takes comfort in having someone by his side and continues to build confidence with patience and encouragement.

If your home has been missing a loyal friend with a big heart and a little star power, Sinatra is ready to take center stage in your life. Meet Sinatra at FAAS, 1590 Fortmann Way, Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed daily from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for naptime.
