Shoot Your Shot With Steph Curry

Pet of the Week for May 17, 2025

If you love a Warrior, meet Steph Curry. This six-month-old puppy is a dream—super smart, affectionate, and loving.

He’s a gangly, goofy boy who is all hops and heart, ready to steal your socks (and your heart) in a flash. Steph is the type who will stick by your side through thick and thin, eager to please and ready to be your steadfast companion. He’s got a natural inclination to bond deeply and will likely become your most loyal confidant.

Right now he’s staying in a fantastic foster home, where he easily integrated into life with two kids—10 and 12—and two other dogs. He crates well, loves car rides, and really loves snuggling, especially with kids.

Steph Curry knows sit, off, walks easily on a leash without pulling, and is very inquisitive (yes, he likes to explore counters). As a puppy, he needs a leader who will commit to basic training. But that’s not a problem, as he is treat-motivated (takes them gently) and learns very fast.

This sweet pup is a happy-go-lucky guy who is often seen smiling—and it’s completely contagious.

If you’re ready to love and be loved unconditionally by a very good pup, call Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter at 510-337-8565 to arrange a meetup with Steph.
