May 15 is Bike to Wherever Day: Ride Woodstock & Catch the After-Party

May is Bike Month, with tons of fun and educational events happening all around the East Bay. And May 15 is the first-ever Bike to Wherever Day for the Oakland-Alameda water shuttle AKA Woodstock. Woodstock loves bicyclists!

On the morning of May 15, from 7 to 10 a.m., stop by an Energizer Station on your way to or from the Woodstock water shuttle and pick up some goodies and a limited edition Bike to Wherever Day 2025 bag. If you’re in Alameda, the energizer station is at the Cross Alameda Trail at Webster and Ralph Appezzato Parkway. If you’re coming back to Alameda from Oakland, the station will be Jack London Square, near the Oakland dock. See the online map for more stations.

Wait on land, not the dock

When you get to Woodstock’s dock at Bohol Immigrant Circle, remember to wait at the top of the gangway, not on the actual dock. That will make getting on and off the ferry as smooth and safe as possible. Some of the signage could use a bit of improvement—they’re  working on it—but the new Alameda sign (above) is a hint of what’s to come.
