The City of Alameda and Alameda Unified School District (AUSD) are hosting the eighth annual Alameda Youth Career & Job Fair on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Encinal Jr. & Sr. High School Gymnasium, 210 Central Avenue.
The annual event provides an opportunity for local employers to meet talented students who are eager to apply the skills they learn in the classroom to practical work experience. More than 600 students attended last year’s event.
Free and open to all high school students in Alameda, the Job Fair has expanded every year. It now has more than 40 employers, City-sponsored internships, trade organizations, educational institutions, and a wide range of summer opportunities. A resume help desk is available for students seeking guidance on how to format or update their resumes. Bonus: Students who bring a resume are eligible to enter a raffle.
The Youth Career & Job Fair is supported by AUSD; Alameda Collaborative for Children, Youth, and Their Families (ACCYF); the City of Alameda; Alameda County Supervisor Lena Tam; and the Alameda Chamber & Economic Alliance.
Employers and organizations offering summer jobs and/or educational opportunities can register for a free table by using this link or by contacting Eric Fonstein at the City of Alameda at [email protected] or Felicia Vargas at Alameda Unified School District at [email protected]. Employers are asked to register by Friday, March 15.
