September – Campaign season heats up
September marks the time when campaigns kick into high gear, and my campaign is no exception. I picked up another endorsement this week. This time it was from the pup reporter for the Bear’s-Eye View—L’il Dude.
My campaign has extended beyond the Alameda city limits and folks in Santa Rosa know about my run for mayor, thanks to Ann Colman-Mulderick. She has two stickers on her wheelchair. Thanks, Ann, for your support.
There was a crew out on Alameda sidewalks grinding down all the trip hazards caused by tree roots pushing up the cement. I was there before, during, and after the work was done to document the process. Thanks, Public Works, for keeping our sidewalks safe.
Have you noticed the modification of the bench on Park Street that is dedicated to Nielsen Tam? It has risers under the legs so that folks who have a hard time getting out of a chair can stand up a bit easier.
I was overjoyed to see the first signs of Halloween showing up in a resident’s yard. These ghosts made me smile.
There was a nice metal sculpture addition to a front yard this week. A flamingo and a butterfly. Interesting combination. Is there any significance to connecting these two?
I am starting to notice the signs of fall on Alameda streets and yards. This leaf had such vivid colors and pattern, I just had to include it in a report. Nature is amazing.
Onward into fall.
