Daisy is Ready to Go

Pet of the Week for March 14, 2026

There’s something magnetic about Daisy, the 5-year-old husky mix at FAAS.

Maybe it’s the way she looks at you like you’re the most exciting thing she’s ever seen. Maybe it’s the toy she’s already dropped at your feet before you’ve even greeted her. Maybe it’s her heterochromatic David Bowie eyes.

Whatever it is, you’ll feel it the moment you meet her. Daisy’s heart is as big as she is energetic, which is saying a lot.

She is house-trained, well-mannered (mostly), and has already put in the work when it comes to other training, yet she’ll happily keep learning, because this girl genuinely loves to grow! Is she smart, willing, and eager to please the people she loves? Yes, yes, and absolutely, yes!

And when she loves, she will love you. Deeply, fully, and with her whole chest. Daisy is the kind of dog who bonds hard and gives everything she has to the humans who earn her trust. In return, she asks for just one thing—keep up with her. She is built for an active life. She loves hikes, runs, and fetch sessions that go longer than planned, adventures you didn’t know you needed.

She will be your most enthusiastic friend through all of it. She’d prefer to be your one and only pup, though the right canine companion isn’t completely out of the question. Mostly, she just wants to find her place—her home, her human, her people.

Daisy has so much love to give and so many miles left to run. We just want to make sure she gets to run them with you.

You can meet Daisy at FAAS, 1590 Fortmann Avenue. Just call 510-337-8565 or come by during our open hours—Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed daily for lunch, 1 to 2 p.m.) The last animal viewing is one hour before closing.
