Ninth annual event features 65 eateries, March 20-29
Alameda Restaurant Week returns March 20-29, showcasing the diverse flavors from across the island with a “World Cup” twist. The United States is co-hosting the World Cup this summer—and the Oakland Roots and Soul Training Facility in Alameda will be the official home base for Australia’s National Football Team—so Restaurant Week is the perfect way to give an early welcome to the Socceroos from the island “down under.”
The lineup
More than 60 Alameda eateries already have signed on to participate in Restaurant Week, with more being added daily, according to the latest information from the City. Check the Alameda Restaurant Week website for a list of participating businesses, event updates, menu offers, and to enter to win prizes. Updates will be added regularly.
“We’re excited to support the City of Alameda’s Restaurant Week,” said Downtown Alameda Executive Director Kathy Weber. “Our restaurants are such a big part of what makes Downtown Alameda feel welcoming and vibrant, and this is a great excuse to get out, try a new spot (or revisit an old favorite), and show some love to the local businesses that keep our district thriving. We hope the community comes hungry and ready to explore.”
West Alameda Business Association Executive Director Elissa Glickman added, “From donuts to dumplings, bar food to pizza, the West End is where great food and community come together. Alameda Restaurant Week celebrates the local flavors that make our island unique and is proof that West End dining is alive and thriving.”
The competition—from the pitch to the plate
There are three ways to get in on the action this year:
- Visit any participating eatery and submit your receipt online to be entered into a drawing for restaurant gift cards.
- Take a photo wearing your favorite soccer jersey at your favorite participating restaurant and upload it to win tickets to an Oakland Roots home game.
- Complete the official Restaurant Champion Bracket and submit it along with your receipts for a chance to win the Grand Prize and help crown one Alameda eatery as the 2026 Restaurant Week World Champion.
Keep checking the website for submission info, specials, and updates.
