To the Editor:
I’m staring at a sheet of plain white paper.
It’s just a bit like staring at the year
And wondering what will happen with the capers
I’ll drag into my life without a fear
That what I do will change just who I am,
Or who I am will change just what I do,
Since frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn
As long as, to myself, I’m always true.
If thinking past tomorrow leaves you cold,
Or worried how much more you’ll do today,
Just forge ahead and know that you are bold!
To hell with things that other people say.
It’s your blank page to fill with your desire,
So forge ahead with confidence and fire.
