To the Editor:
There are many reasons why Bay Farm Middle School should be kept open. Here are a few. First, Bay Farm has won many awards. It won the California Distinguished School award and is the number-one rated middle school in the city of Alameda. Also, Bay Farm is a green school. It won the Green Ribbon School award and is one of the first schools that is using metal trays. They are far greener than cardboard or styrofoam trays. However, one of the best parts about Bay Farm may be the fact that it is a small school. Some students need a small school to learn better. Others would like a smaller environment that is less hectic than bigger schools. Either way, teachers can connect with you more. They can give you individual support if you need it, or they could just chat. Clearly, Bay Farm is a great middle school that should be kept open.
Thank you,
