Realign is a comprehensive assessment of every AC Transit bus line in response to the substantial shifts in ridership and commute patterns since the pandemic. Since Spring 2023, AC Transit has engaged in a multi-phased community outreach process, which helped to shape the development of the Draft Final Plan, which has been carefully crafted to optimize current service efficiency while ensuring that the proposed bus network adjustments are possible with the transit system’s existing labor force.

The Draft Final Plan suggests several types of changes to service, including re-routing some bus lines, combining or eliminating others, and proposing frequency and service hour adjustments. These changes have been adjusted and updated in response to the outreach process.

The public comment period will close on September 11. All written comments received before the close of the final hearing will be considered and included in the official record. Learn more about the Draft Final Plan and submit your comments online here.

Staff will also be available at public and community events through September 11. Find an event near you on the AC Transit website or attend one of the meetings listed below.
