Preliminary results from Tuesday’s Primary Election have been posted by both the California Secretary of State and the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. As of Wednesday morning, statewide results include ballots from 22.4% of California residents, and 17.3% of Alameda County residents. Although many ballots that were returned to drop boxes in the days leading up to the election have yet to be counted, voter turnout looks to be among the lowest for any recent election.
Although the standings may change when all the ballots are counted, here are the current leaders for races affecting the city of Alameda. * indicates incumbent.
