Do you live in, own, or manage a multifamily residential property in Alameda? Would you be interested in having onsite charging stations for electric vehicles where you live? It may be easier and cheaper than you think.
Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) has partnered with EV charging consultant CLEAResult to provide no-cost technical assistance with planning and designing EV charging solutions for your building. And AMP will provide up to $48,000 in rebates for Level 2 charging stations installed at your property, up to six charging stations.
Electric vehicle sales continue to skyrocket, driving up demand for EV chargers. Residential EV chargers are good for both residents and owners of multifamily properties. Installing EV chargers attracts potential residents, benefits and retains current residents, and ultimately helps reduce carbon emissions with AMP’s 100% clean electricity.
The free Technical Assistance Program will connect property owners/managers with a team of experts who will guide your project from start to finish. Assistance will include:
- Resident-site review.
- Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance.
- Estimated project costs.
- Installation process.
- Referrals to qualified contractors.
To get started, property owners must request EV Charging Technical Assistance, either by sending an email to AMP’s EV team at [email protected] or completing the online form. Residents who are interested should share this information with their property managers.
