In Plain Site, a free outdoor climate photography festival, will run from May 9 through June 1 at RADIUM Runway. It’s a free, three-week outdoor event that will transform the Alameda Point shoreline into an open-air gallery, showcasing stunning collections from both international and local photographers. Through powerful imagery, the event will illuminate pathways to a more climate-positive world.
Co-produced by the West End Arts District and RADIUM Presents, in partnership with Photoville, In Plain Site Festival will feature three full weeks of family-friendly events, activities, and educational workshops. The festival will kick off with a dynamic opening celebration featuring artist talks, hands-on workshops, guided photo walks, interactive crafts, and activities for all ages.
In Plain Site is a call to action—an invitation to explore the urgent realities of sea-level rise and climate change through the lens of photography. This unique and impactful celebration will transform public space into a platform for inspiration, education, and change.
The festival will include the following events:
- Friday, May 9 – First Glimpse.
- Saturday, May 10 – Focus Fest (food and drinks, family crafts, tours, and talks).
- Tuesday, May 20 – Put Yourself in the Picture.
- Saturday, May 31 – Rhythmix’s Rising Seas.
- Saturday, May 31 – Closing Party in partnership with the Immersive Arts Alliance.
There will also be professional photography workshops throughout May.
