The Rotary Club of Alameda distributes thousands of dollars in community grants each year through its Season of Giving Program. Funds for the program are generated by a Lobster Dinner, the generosity of sponsors, and the Alameda Rotary Endowment Foundation. Last year, more than 30 nonprofits received grants, all of which ended up contributing to the greater good of our community.
One of the goals of the grants program is to give out small grants to more Alameda’s 501(c)(3) nonprofits rather than fewer, larger grants, in order to support the diversity of missions these local nonprofits serve. Another goal is to fund smaller organizations that do not have the resources to raise capital.
Additionally, the Rotary Club of Alameda understands that leaders of the city’s nonprofit organizations may be operating with minimal or no staff, so the Rotary Club has tried to streamline the application process. The Community Grants Committee will be evaluating the various applications based on responses to three questions to be submitted on your organization’s letterhead.
To receive the application form, just send a request by email message to [email protected].
Deadline: Applications are due on March 18, 2025. Winners will receive their awards at the April 15 Rotary Club lunch-hour meeting.
