Join the Spring 5K/10K on Bay Farm Island to Benefit Alameda Hospital

Lace up your shoes! The annual Island Race Series starts with a Spring Run—5K, 10K, and 1/2-mile family fun run—to benefit the Alameda Hospital Foundation on Sunday, April 26, on Bay Farm Island.

The event will start and end at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal. There is plenty of parking and the trails showcase beautiful views of the San Francisco skyline and the Alameda estuary.

The 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) courses will take participants along scenic trails with views of the Bay, San Francisco, and the Bay Farm Island coast. Both runs are on flat road and trail, along Harbor Bay Parkway and the bay trail. The 10K runners will continue along the trail to the Harbor Bay Club.

Event schedule:
  • April 23-25 – Packet pick-up at Lauren’s Closet, 1420 Park Street, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • April 26 – Race morning registration opens at 7 a.m. at the Ferry Terminal, 215 Adelphian Way.
Race start times are as follows:
  • 10K – 8 a.m.
  • 5K – 8:15 a.m.
  • Family fun run – 9:30 a.m.

Afterward, there will be post-race beer (for adults 21 and older), soft drinks, food, and music. Awards will be presented to first-, second-, and third-place finishers.

The 5K and 10K courses have each been certified by USA Track & Field and are recognized by the Road Running Technical Council.

The Spring Run benefits Alameda Hospital Foundation, which funds facility renovations like the hospital lobby, and new equipments like a state of the art CT Scanner.
