While the adults are working and shopping and busily preparing for the big Turkey Day dinner, teens and tweens can enjoy their own Friendsgiving at the Underground Teen Center, 2203 Central Ave., thanks to Alameda Recreation and Parks Department (ARPD). Admission is free.
Activities include both indoor and outdoor fun, from making mini-pies and candy apples, creating board games, and doing crafts to getting outside to walk around downtown Alameda. And did we mention there’s a snack bar at the Underground Teen Center? Bring some allowance money along with your pack lunch.
The Underground Teen Center is open for Friendsgiving Monday and Tuesday, November 20 and 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.; sixth through 12-graders are welcome. Advance registration is required. Register online for the teens and tweens Friendsgiving, email a completed registration from to ARPD at [email protected], mail or drop off the completed form to ARPD at 2226 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501, or FAX it to 510-523-4071.
