The lunchtime club now meets Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sea West Federal Credit Union conference room at the foot of Dennison Street. The location is outside the security gate, in the publicly accessible section of Coast Guard Island.

The club is relaunching its membership drive and welcomes guests to visit.

“When you visit a Toastmasters club, there’s no pressure to speak until you feel ready,” says Club President Bill Meyn. “Guests can simply observe and enjoy the experience.”

The Coastmasters club helps people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders. Whether you are a young professional, an experienced manager, or are just seeking personal growth, you’ll find a warm, supportive group that shares your goals.

Membership is open to all adults. Toastmasters members practice giving speeches and presentations in a friendly, supportive environment. Each speech is evaluated by fellow members to help speakers improve their communication and leadership skills—a hallmark of the Toastmasters program worldwide.

What sets Toastmasters apart isn’t just what you learn—it’s how you learn it. At Toastmasters, every meeting is a judgment-free space where you can practice, grow, and transform. A typical Toastmasters meeting turns nervous speakers into confident communicators.

Every meeting provides a safe opportunity to:

  • Practice both planned speeches and unplanned responses.
  • Give and receive meaningful feedback.
  • Step into leadership opportunities.

Visitors are always welcome. To request an agenda or learn more about Coastmasters Toastmasters, email Bill Meyn at [email protected].
