The Alameda Chamber of Commerce & Economic Alliance will present the 2024 Alameda Economic Forecast on Thursday, September 26, 10 a.m to 1:30 p.m., on the USS Hornet, 707 West Hornet Avenue, Alameda Point.
This year the event will feature the inaugural Alameda Business Expo, an opportunity for businesses to connect with potential customers and partners. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. and the Economic Forecast program will run from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Economic Forecast provides valuable insights into the economic landscape of Alameda and the Bay Area, covering market trends, sector updates, and growth opportunities. A highlight will be the panel discussion led by Stephen Baiter from the East Bay Economic Development Alliance, featuring Joe Ernst, Principal at srmERNST; Joann Guitarte, small business expert/entrepreneur; Abby Thorn-Lyman, Director of Base Reuse and Economic Development; Adam Elsesser, CEO of Penumbra, Inc.; Dr. Tammeil Gilkerson, Chancellor of the Peralta Community College District; and Gia Schneider, Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Natel Energy.
The event will also include a keynote discussion with two state officials—Fiona Ma, California State Treasurer and Malia Cohen, State Controller—who will offer valuable perspectives about the area.
