‘Endearment’

This poem is dedicated to emotions and affections that are sometimes difficult to understand, yet often incredible to experience.

Alameda Post - a graphic that says "Endearment by Shanti Lair-Croom". The words are against a blue sky background with a heart made of clouds around them.

Can’t quite put a start date on it, unsure when it began.

The days and nights are difficult to decipher, it all seems to blend.

Tingles down the spine & butterflies have become friends.

Somehow the two keep meeting up, over and over again.

Steadily trying to comprehend.

Is this pretend?

What four letter word is this?

Deep thoughts of not wanting this feeling to end.

Remaining speechless, as we transcend.

See Shanti Lair-Croom’s previous work, and stay up-to-date with her on Instagram.
