Is Corduroy Your Perfect Fit?

Pet of the Week for May 10, 2025

Corduroy is a 10-year-old soft-hearted gentleman who’s seen a lot in life and now just wants a peaceful place to rest his paws. He’s calm, kind, and a little aloof—the kind of dog who’s happy to hang out nearby but doesn’t need to be in your lap.

He’s not big on treats or tricks, but he’ll win you over with his gentle presence and easygoing spirit. Corduroy enjoys short walks, cozy spots to nap, and just being around the people he trusts.

If you’re looking for a mellow companion who won’t ask for much but gives quiet company in return, Corduroy might be the perfect match for you.

Meet him at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, 1590 Fortmann Way, during adoption hours—Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
