South Shore Center Hosting Free Concerts Throughout July

South Shore Center’s [1] free outdoor concerts are popular for three good reasons: the music is great, the balmy Alameda midsummer weather is perfect, and every purchase of beer or wine helps to provide a free backpack and fresh school supplies for public school students here in Alameda.

Alameda Education Foundation [3] (AEF [4]) hopes to provide free school supplies for 900 Alameda Unified School District [5] students this summer, so those students can start the school year with everything they need to succeed. One of the ways the foundation raises money for this project is by selling beer and wine at the free South Shore concerts.

The free summer concerts take place at South Shore’s center court in front of Trabocco’s. Some seating is provided, but feel free to bring a folding chair and stake out your spot. This year’s summer schedule is as follows:

So, put on your dancing shoes, enjoy some great music, and support a good cause.
