Pet of the Week for July 11, 2026
At just a year and 2 months old, and about 40 pounds, Mystique [1] is a fun-loving pup with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She still has plenty of puppy energy and enthusiasm, making every day an adventure.
[2]Mystique loves to play, especially with other dogs. Whether she’s wrestling with a canine friend, chasing after a favorite toy, or exploring the backyard, she’s happiest when she has something to do. She’s curious about everything around her and enjoys checking out new sights and smells. Like many young dogs, she can get excited during play, but she redirects well and is always ready for another toy.
Once she’s had a chance to burn off some energy, Mystique is more than happy to settle in for cuddle time. She loves curling up in your lap and being close to her people, making her the perfect combination of playful companion and affectionate snuggle buddy.
She’s crate trained, sleeps through the night, and eats her meals in her crate. She also rides quietly in the car, knows how to use a dog door, and confidently goes up and down stairs.
Mystique is making great progress with house training and continues to learn her routine every day. She enjoys being part of the action and would do well with a family that can give her plenty of playtime, continued training, and lots of love.
If you’re looking for a young dog who’s equal parts playful, curious, and affectionate, Mystique is ready to bring joy, laughter, and plenty of tail wags to her forever home. Meet Mystique at FAAS, 1590 Fortmann Way, Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed daily from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for naptime.
