Iris Needs a Place to Bloom

Looking for a playful lovebug with a big personality and an even bigger heart? Meet Iris [1]! At just 8 months old, she is already showing everyone what a special girl she is. This sweet, goofy puppy was a total hit at Alameda’s “National Night Out,” where she met all kinds of people and pets. Adults, kids, people on bikes, and dogs of all shapes and sizes were part of the fun. Iris took it all in stride, staying friendly, confident, and curious about everything around her.

Iris especially loves meeting other dogs. She happily greeted pups both big and small, and showed off her playful, easygoing personality. Whether she’s out for a walk, checking out a new place, or hanging out with her favorite people, Iris has a way of making every outing more fun.

While Iris has plenty of puppy energy, she is also a total sweetheart. She’s affectionate, curious, and happiest when she’s with people. Her silly personality is sure to bring lots of smiles and laughter to whomever is lucky enough to take her home.

Like any young puppy, Iris is still learning and growing. She’ll need a family who is patient and willing to help her continue to learn good habits, and will give her the guidance and encouragement she needs to grow into her best self.

Iris is ready for her next adventure and we think it’s going to be a great one. All she needs now is a loving family and a place to call home.

You can meet Iris at FAAS, 1590 Fortmann Way, Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed daily from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. for naptime.
