Public Power Week is October 1-7

The American Public Power Association (APPA) recognizes the first week in October as Public Power Week [1]. During that week, they highlight the benefits of public power that 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities across the United States provide. The City of Alameda has our own local electricity provider, Alameda Municipal Power (AMP), which provides the community with 100% clean energy [2].
