Pet of the Week for March 7, 2026
They say life gets sweeter with age. Kona [1] agrees. This adorable sweetie pie knows exactly what she wants out of life—a comfy home where she can enjoy her golden years lying leisurely on a patch of grass with a toy in her paw (or her mouth), enjoying the sunshine and whatever the day has to offer.
[2]Kona is 12 years wise and ready for her new home. She does have some skin sensitivities—the typical lumps and bumps that come with being a senior—so her comfort needs to be a priority. But she’s not feeble by any means. Her zest for life is contagious, and she has plenty of energy for the things she loves to do the most.
Kona holds her head up and wears her years with grace and a headlong spirit. She may not hear you every time you call her name, but she sure will see the brightly colored ball she’s ready to play with.
See for yourself. Come and meet Kona at 1590 Fortmann Avenue. Just give FAAS a call at 510-337-8565 or come by during our open hours—Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed daily for lunch, 1 to 2 p.m.) The last animal viewing is one hour before closing.
