With only two games left to play in the regular season, the Alameda Wolves remain at the top of the Women’s Premier Basketball Association [1] standings heading into the All Star Game this Friday, July 14, at Moreau Catholic School in Hayward.
The Bay City Blaze upset the Wolves, 90-87, in Round 6 play on July 8. At 5-1, Alameda shares the best record in the league with Oakland, but owns the #1 spot thanks to having beaten the Swish 76-70 on June 10th.
At the All-Star break, with two games left in the regular season, League standings are as follows:

On July 22, the Wolves face last place Tech City Valkyrie [3] (0-6). The regular season wraps up July 29 with a rematch of the season opener against the Berkeley Royals [4], currently in 5th place (3-3). Both games will be at the College of Alameda Gymnasium.
The All-Star Game this Friday pits Team Harris, led by Wolves’ guard Rebecca Harris, against Team Cooks, led by Royals’ forward-guard Mariah Cooks. The game will be at Moreau Catholic High School, 27170 Mission Blvd., Hayward, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 ($10 for seniors and students), and may be purchased online [5] or at the door.
The Tournament of Champions is scheduled for August 4-6.
