The Alameda Police Department [1] (APD) just announced its community meetings schedule for March and invites residents to attend in our own neighborhoods.
“Join us to meet your designated beat officers, recap 2024, and learn what to expect in 2025,” APD encouraged in its announcement [2]. See the Beat Map below to identify your neighborhood beat number.
[3]According to APD, these important meetings will cover a variety of topics, including:
- Current crime trends.
- Events impacting the community.
- Strategies for collaborating to improve public safety.
Residents will also have the opportunity to meet with their designated watch commanders and officers to discuss concerns and share insights.
“We encourage all community members to attend and participate in shaping a safer, stronger Alameda,” APD stated.
[4]Community meetings for the month of March 2025 start on Tuesday, March 11, and are scheduled as follows:
- Beats 21 and 22: Tuesday, March 11, 5 p.m., Mastick Senior Center, 1155 Santa Clara Avenue, Room D.
- Beats 13 and 14: Tuesday, March 11, 5 p.m., West End Library, 788 Santa Clara Avenue.
- Beats 11 and 12: Thursday, March 13, 5 p.m., 2250 Monarch Street, Building 2, Wing 8.
- Beats 31 & 32: Saturday, March 22, 11 a.m., Main Street Library, 1550 Oak Street.
- Beats 33 & 34: Saturday, March 22, 1 p.m., Bay Farm Community Center, 3195 Mecartney Road.
There will also be community beat meetings held in early April:
- Beats 23 and 24: Tuesday, April 8, 5 p.m., Main Library, 1550 Oak Street.
