It’s a sign of the times – gas prices are over $6.00 per gallon in Alameda along Webster Street today. A search on GasBuddy.com [1] shows the lowest prices in all of Alameda are to be found either at the Coast Guard Exchange, where regular grade is “only” $4.99 for Coasties, or the Arco on Park Street where regular grade prices are $5.17 when paying with cash. Even the Costco in San Leandro, known for cheap gas prices, has regular grade listed at $5.19 per gallon.
Gas prices are expected to continue rising, caused mostly by Russia’s widely-condemned invasion of Ukraine.
