As voters and candidates gear up for the general election in November, the Alameda Post encourages our readers to share your opinion on what you feel are the most important issues in the community. Your responses will be used to formulate questions presented to candidates for local office.
Starting today, Monday, July 15, the candidate nomination period begins for local offices, including two Alameda City Council [2] seats, AUSD [3] Board of Education, City Auditor, and Treasurer. The deadline for candidates to announce is Friday, August 9.
In January, the Post sent questionnaires to candidates for city, county, and state offices in preparation for the primary election. Now, looking ahead to the November election, we are formulating new questionnaires for the candidates.
We value your opinions and encourage you to share your priorities and concerns in the upcoming election. The Post will use the responses we gather in our Issue Poll to construct questions that candidates will then have the opportunity to answer. This collaborative approach ensures that candidates are aware of and have the chance to respond to Alamedans’ concerns.
To participate, visit our Issue Poll [4] online. Thank you for your contribution!
