George was born on August 11, 1944, in Kenya, Africa. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1969 with a degree in Acting and Film Studies, and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his desire to become an actor. He worked many jobs that a starving artist endures in order to pursue his dream and craft. His very gregarious nature and phenomenal smile served him in his career as a salesperson, which was his profession for the majority of his adult life.

George’s main passions were fishing, gardening, photography, and most of all having extended conversations with friends and family. He is survived by a daughter, Malaika, whom he absolutely adored; his life partner Jacki Anderson; brothers Joe and Mburu Kuria of Baltimore, Maryland; a sister, Salome Njeri Gecau, of Kenya, Africa; and Anderson family members.
