Ann was born on November 11, 1937, and Bob on November 25, 1945. Married in 1969, they shared 57 years of love, laughter, travel, and an unwavering devotion to one another, their family, and the community they proudly called home. For many years, they made their home on Alameda’s beloved Christmas Tree Lane, where they enjoyed being part of one of the city’s most cherished holiday traditions.

Ann was known for her strong work ethic, creative spirit, and love of sewing and quilting. She especially enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings, where family and friends were always welcomed. Her handmade quilts and thoughtful gifts will be treasured for generations.

Bob was the longtime owner of Plato’s for Hair on Santa Clara Avenue, where he spent more than 30 years as a respected hairstylist, mentor, and friend. His salon was more than a business—it was a place where lasting friendships were formed, and his kindness and generosity touched countless lives.

Together, Ann and Bob were active members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1076 in Alameda and the California Cosmetology Association (CCA), where they built many cherished friendships and enjoyed giving back to their community.

Ann and Bob are lovingly remembered by their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends. Their legacy of love, kindness, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.

A memorial service honoring Bob’s life will be held on Sunday, July 19, at 4 p.m. at Eagles Hall in Alameda. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate their lives.
