Join a Measure B kick-off meeting with Alameda Unified School Board President Jennifer Williams and the district’s PTA Council President Ryan Lalonde! Alameda Post readers are invited, along with the general public, to join them this Saturday, April 30 to learn more.

The Alameda Unified School District is placing Measure B on the 2022 ballot [PDF]. If B passes, the district will issue bonds whose funds will allow work to continue on capital improvements and complete critical repairs from the 2014 Facilities Master Plan. AUSD will issue bonds over a 12-year period.
The district will use the funds to:
- Upgrade classrooms, sites, facilities and technology
- Support high-quality academic programs science, technology, reading, writing and math programs
- Keep schools clean, well maintained and in good condition
- Replace out-of-date plumbing and heating/cooling systems for energy efficiency and safe air quality
- Provide essential upgrades for earthquake safety, school security and school accessibility
- Add sporting facilities at the middle and high schools
