Feedback will shape the future of transportation in Alameda County
Do you walk, bike, roll, drive, or ride transit in Alameda County? If so, the Alameda County Transportation Commission (CTC) wants your feedback on its latest community survey for the Countywide Transportation Plan [1]. Your responses will help shape the future of the county’s transportation system for all of us.
[2]Responses to the survey will help the CTC to understand community priorities that help advance the plan’s goals. There are several ways to provide input on the county plan:
- Fill out the online community survey [3]to provide feedback on transportation needs and priorities.
- Share your personal transportation experiences via the open “Share My Experience” [4]form.
- Join community events throughout the county listed on the CTC Get Involved [5] webpage.

Countywide Transportation Plan
Approximately every four years, the CTC updates the transportation plan to respond to changing conditions and evaluate new opportunities and demands placed on the transportation system. In October 2024, the CTC adopted a Transportation Plan Policy Blueprint [6], which set the vision and goals for the 2026 in to safe terms of safety, equity, climate, and economic vitality.
The plan creates a vision for the future of transportation in Alameda County, sets priorities, and guides decisions for the CTC as it plans, funds, and delivers transportation improvements.
Plan development will continue through the middle of 2026 and will determine how to best advance those goals through the following three major elements:
- A countywide transportation needs assessment.
- Infrastructure project and program recommendations.
- Identifying gaps, opportunities, strategies, and near-term actions.

About the Alameda County Transportation Commission
The mission of the Alameda County Transportation Commission (CTC) is to plan, fund and deliver transportation programs and projects that expand access and improve mobility to foster a vibrant and livable Alameda County.
Governed by a 22-member Commission, the CTC manages the county’s one-cent transportation sales tax and serves as the county’s congestion management agency. In the most recent fiscal year, the agency carried out $405 million in transportation improvements that create jobs, enhance mobility and enrich communities.
