Roots Secure Back-to-Back Victories, to Face Colorado Springs Saturday, June 1
The Oakland Roots [1] took the lead against FC Tulsa [2] in the 20th minute when Miche-Naider Chéry found the back of the net on the turn, giving the visiting Roots a 1-0 lead at Oklahoma’s ONEOK Stadium on Friday, May 24.

The rest of the half played to a stalemate on the tight Tulsa home field, with each side picking up one yellow card. The score remained 1-0 into the break.
The Roots made two substitutions, bringing on Lindo Mfeka and Irakoze Donasiyano about 15 minutes into the second half. Oakland Soul Earn Draw in Davis Against Cal Storm
Cal Storm [3] scored one of the quickest goals possible—within 15 seconds—when Giana Riley capitalized on an Oakland Soul [4] mistake to take an early 1-0 lead at Davis Legacy Soccer Complex on Saturday, May 25. But the Oakland Soul team gained control of the game after the opening-minute lapse and found the equalizer in the 25th minute through Sam Tran, making the score 1-1.

Both sides went into the break level at 1-1 after a balanced first half of play.
The Soul side made multiple second-half substitutions in search of the go-ahead goal to take all three points back to Oakland, but it was not to be as the game ended 1-1.
Oakland Soul will now return home on Thursday, May 30, to face Pleasanton Rage at Merritt College in Oakland. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
