Alameda Post - A math diagram. [1]

Four connecting chords (AC, AD, BC and BD) are drawn within a circle. Two chords intersect at point O and form two triangles.

The segment lengths are: AO = 8x + 17, AD = 9x + 3, BC = 3x + 1, BO = 3x + 2, CO = 3x, DO = 10x − 11.

The sum of the areas of these two triangles is 11,700 square meters.

Find the area of the circle.

A correct answer sent to [email protected] [2] could win a Tucker’s gift card.

Last week’s winner [3] was Anne Aldridge with area equals 1776 square cubits.
