Rain

This poem is dedicated to change. Seasons change. People change. Situations change. Change is inevitable. Change can be beautiful. As we start this new year, I hope change happens to us all for the better.

Alameda Post - 'Rain' by Shanti Lair-Croom

Rain drops…

Tear drops.

Pouring showers.

Stormy weather.

Ice-cold.

Window shatters.

Teeth chatters.

Grab a coat.

View matter in its purest form.
See an arch of colors form in the sky.
Watch the water steam freeze.

Let it snow.

Grab some gloves.
Put on your boots.

Jump over the puddles or dance in them.

Reign is upon you.
Change is upon you.

Dear H2O,
Cleanse the thoughts.
Cleanse the dirt.
Wash the body.
Wash the earth.
Clear the heart.
Clear the drains.
Flood the soul.
Flood with love…
Fill the veins.
The center star of the solar system remains.
Together, melt the pain.
Let it rain.
