The publicly-owned runway area at Alameda Point [1] is off limits for the time being. But it’s not out of reach for dauntless artists who are adaptively reusing structures built for warfare. Here is a sampling of their artwork on concrete and steel ammo bunkers, Quonset huts, a water reservoir, and storage buildings.
