Pet of the Week for March 9, 2024
Gina is one of FAAS’s few small dogs available for adoption, and she wins hearts everywhere she goes. Her fosters say she’s the favorite of all the dogs she and her partner have fostered for FAAS.
[1]“She’s so easy and affectionate. And she’s really smart,” says longtime FAAS foster Valessa. “We love her.”
Four-year-old Gina is house trained, and her fosters have taught her to sit, roll over, and lie down.
As you can see by the photo, even FAAS CEO John Lipp is smitten by this 16-pound bundle of love. When she stopped by FAAS last week for her vaccinations, he couldn’t get enough of her, and had an adoption twinkle in his eye. But he stopped himself because he knows she will make an amazing pet for someone else.
[2]If it looks like she’s pulled a few all-nighters, it’s simply because she has a condition called cherry eye, a prolapse of the third eyelid gland. Veterinarians have said she doesn’t need surgery, so she’s ready to be adopted any time!
Since she’s in foster care, you’ll need to call FAAS at 510-337-8565 to set up a time to meet her. She’s a real catch, so call soon! Small dogs this good don’t stay available for long! Check out her FAAS profile page [3], and give FAAS a call.
During the March Madness campaign, the adoption fee for all adult animals, including this little sweetheart—is only $40.
