FAAS Empty the Shelter Event This Saturday

The best things in life sometimes really are free! FAAS is thrilled to announce that this Saturday, October 12, is Free Adoption Day! It’s been a long time since we’ve done this, but we’ve got so many great dogs and cats who need homes that we decided now is the time!

Come over to the FAAS shelter at 1590 Fortmann Way from noon to 4 p.m. this Saturday, and any adult dog or cat will be free to adopt. Kittens and puppies are only $50 to adopt, and you can provide a home for two kittens for the price of one. What a great way to start life with your future forever best friends.

If you want to do a little homework ahead of time to find the new love of your life this Saturday, please “go window shopping” on the FAAS website’s adoption pages so you’ll know what animal(s) to ask to meet. It will make things easier on Saturday. Keep in mind that many of our cats and kittens are at our South Shore Adoption Center, but we’ve got oodles at our 1590 Fortmann Way location as well. All dogs are at our main shelter on Fortmann.

And to make your adoption even easier, Alameda See Spot Run, our neighborhood pet shop at 1320 Park Street, is offering a special “Sharing the Love” adoption bundle of free full-size goodies for your new pet, including premium pet foods, delicious treats, healthy supplements and more. Just visit the store and show proof of adoption.

Tell your friends, even if they live beyond Alameda!
